Why did God invent sand spurs?

We're clearly good rule followers.....

While the beach police weren't looking, I snuck up onto the restricted area and snapped some photos. I spent about 15 minutes picking those dern sandspurs off of my entire body when I got inside. My friend decided he just had to so dangerously make the ascent to the top of the sand dune and pose for a photo. That's right before we saw the patrol jeep coming down the beach, and retreated to the house.....

Stopping For Lunch After A Good Hunt

Yesterday, while en-route to Grayton Beach, we made a pitstop in Prattville, AL for lunch. On the way out of the place, I think some of my food started to make it's way back up my throat as the head of a nice dead hog, or boar, or some sort of wild pig, greeted me unexpectedly. Only in Alabama.

Fire and Photography

I know this really isn't anything special, but I decided to play around with different settings and functions on my camera and see how they reacted to fire, or, candles. The first one is composed of 16 shots taken with one, for lack of a better term, "push of the button" in continuous mode. Anyhow, I had fun playing around with this and seeing what really worked and what really didn't! =) I'm off to Grayton Beach, FL tomorrow, so I should be posting some more interesting material taken outside of my household!

A Dwindling Frost

This morning I grabbed my camera and took some Macro shots of whats left of the little snow we had Christmas and the day after. I'm still experimenting with all of the new things my new camera can do, so bear with me through these first posts.
